Into the essence of modernism we dive and find a wanting people with a consuming desire. To change the world and its surroundings is to inhabit the fullness of life. Through the lens of self indulgence and self love, the perspective adapts to media, network, and influence. The people want change, but the people desire comfort. Hungry souls thread at the lineage of generations for guidance, and know not that the lack is supplied only through the Comforter, the Holy Spirit, He of which Christ spake as the water, the fire, and the blood of courage to tread onward and forward. Discipleship is built upon the basis of knowledge, holy fear, and submission— not to a higher power, but to Christ Himself. His Messiahship had long been foretold, well known to Protestants and pagans alike, the story of His birth. Prophecy is the key, for He who came once must come again. Truth is a Person, and the words once spoken shall come to pass, as worship becomes the center of the mind. This Truth is the anthem of the holiest place, behind an ancient blueprint named “Sanctuary”. Adventism has it outlined perfectly, as studies upon studies go, verifiable and true. The people require a solid ground, a structure, and an eternity of hopes and joys.

In other words, dear reader, Adventism is the cure to loneliness, want, thirst, and hunger. There is here life abundantly, spoken by the Lord Himself, though death be common, and sickness prevail. I have oft spoken to the multitudes and found that the gospel is personal. The gospel, as it is in Christ is the fullness of heaven’s promises, termed love, joy, peace, goodness, and faith. The Word of God is the plenitude and key of life. Hence the essence of the gospel lies in the keeping of the Sabbath command, intertwined within the Decalogue, and the testimony of Jesus Christ. His temperance, long-suffering, and faith attest to the viability of the Great Controversy, and Satan’s utter disdain for the Law and its Creator. The sapphire stones, whereupon the sapphire firmament doth sit, and holy Cherubim do gaze, claim an authority higher than the highest human thought can reach. Godliness is the beauty of holiness here, and songs enrapture the heart and mind for a sacred moment of worship, softly and tenderly. The relevance here is the very standard of truth. The lifestyle which it affords is rich and very wealthy, full of health and vigor, two things most difficult to assert in this mortal earthly life. Tomorrow holds no promise— that the youth know most firmly and assuredly. If death be the portion of all, life then be the promise, claimed only through faith.

I am of they with the experience of an outsider and I speak that which I know. A searching soul is the object of Christ, and His love is able to meet where the multitude, prone to wander, is found. May the God of peace be upon His own.
